At the present time members of the depart- ment are studying the supply of and demand for water in the United States, projecting the requirements to 1980 and 2000. This project is an outgrowth of an earlier report submitted by Dr. YVollman to the Senate Select Commit- tee on National Water Resources. The studies conducted at UNM have been supported by grants from Resources for the Future, Inc. -43 23
