Dr. Castetterys researches on the Hora of the South- west and on primitive Indian agriculture have given him an enviable national reputation among his col- leagues in Botany. His fellow faculty members and administra- tive oHicers know him as a man of adamant integrity and courage, whose devotion to the University has always transcended every other interest.
