Seventeen of his nineteen years at the University have been spent as president. During this time he has given his earnest sup- port to every Worthwhile undertaking and has helped the University to attain the high standard which led the Navy to choose the school for use in its training program. Governor Dempsey's interest in this respect is clearly recog- nized and greatly appreciated.
