The University of Nevada, being a land-grant college, is a state within a state by virtue of student representation. But our sights and thinking cannot end here on the hill. This Artemisia then, is dedicated to the state of Nevada and thus to the students here at our little Nevada. The colorful history of the state, as well as its future, is reflected in the state seal. The extent to which resources represented here are further developed is dependent on us. The rising sun which dawns on this new era will be the one which we have made.
