ight Brita Qlhi Phi Delta Chi was founded at Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1883. The aims of the founders in organizing a professional fraternity among phar- macy and chemistry students, were to raise the standards of pharmacy and chemistry thru scholarship and co-operation and to promote good fellowship among the students. Only undergraduate students of phar- macy and chemistry are eligible to membership. The present chapter, Pi, was granted its charter March 22, 1912. During the Jive years of its existence, it has endeavored to live up to the aims of the founders in the best manner possible. The chapter house is located at 1426 E street and is the scene of great activity, especially the weeh before the State Board meets and just before final eafaminations. It is open at all times for the use of the Phar- maceutical Society, for smokers and feeds. This year Pi chapter was honored by having Grand Council held here. It was not only an honor, but also a great .stimulus to the members of Pi, for they came in contact with students from the best colleges in the country and also with some of the big men in pharmacy. There were colleges from as far west as California and as far east as New York represented. Thus an insight was given to the members of Pi what other students from other colleges were doing. .Jn turn, the College of Phar- macy of the University of Nebraska was displayed to the visitors in the best manner possible, and incidentally given a great boost, for all of the visitors spoke highly of the college and all said they would remember with a great deal of pleasure their visit to the College of Pharmacy of the University of N ebrasha.
