vocational arts completed last august, the new $800,000 voca- tional arts building houses the industrial arts, voca- tional home economics, and commerce depart- ments. the building is equipped with the newest and most modern equipment available, a large food laboratory, textile room, commerce class- rooms, and shops for industrial arts are housed in the spacious new building, as well as a small audi- torium and a child-development center, the home economics department is the most modern and completely equipped in the midwest, modern kitchens and the latest in homemaking equipment are available to the home economics students, centrally-located offices and separate labs are features of the commerce department. improvements in the industrial arts department are better lighting, more room, and quieter working conditions. the new building, with its latest equipment and the most modern of features, is on a par with any such building on any campus in the state. students ed piskorski and marvin richardson visit a mobile machine shop, accompanied by vocational arts department head otto olsen, second from right, and mr. messman. completed last summer, the vocational arts building houses the most modern equip- ment for industrial arts, vocational home economics, and commerce, among the many facilities included are an auditorium and a child development center.
