S. and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa there. He taught science in the leading high schools of the state for eight years where he distin- guished himself for 3iis ability to equip and build up a department. He was elected to the chair of science during the first year after the Nor- mal was established. He is a deep thinker and a complete master of his chosen subject, while his readv humor and his famous dialectic method are winning great popularity among stu- dents and facultv alike.
