Alumni Association: H. Goble, G. Bastian. Sporting red NH hats and feathers, loyal Nebraska alumni chartered a flight to the foot- ball game at Oklahoma. Later, with plans to travel through ten countries, grads packed suit- cases for a spring tour of Europe. The Association's alphabetized file of all former students simplified mailing of the Nebraska Alumnusv and the alumni newspaper. Other files, organized by class year and geo- graphical area, provided full coverage of grad- uates. In addition, the Association contacted members by visiting Nebraska alumni chapters. Administrators To provide a margin of excellence for the University, the Nebraska Foundation solicited and administered gifts from friends and alumni. Foundation funds fostered the Nebraska Eng- lish Curriculum Development Center and con- tributed support to Sheldon Art Gallery and the Nebraska Center for Continuing Education. Placing emphasis on outstanding instruc- tion, the Foundation supported the Endowment Fund for Distinguished Teaching.
