Morrison Re-emphasizes NEBRASKAIand Growth Leading Nebraska to the largest Democratic triumph since 1936, Governor Frank B. Morri- son remained the state's chief executive. For the third straight term, the Governor stressed the NEBRf6iSKAland program promoting tourism. As chairman of the Midwest Governors, Conference, Morrison initiated a drive to organ- ize the midwestern governors, senators and congressmen. The group formed a bi-partisan bloc to promote industrial development through the Midwest Economic Development Program. Signing the Industrial Development Amend- ment into law, Governor Morrisonhpaved the way for expansion of Nebraska's manufacturing in- terests. Concluding an early Saturday morning meeting, Regents prepare to ioin the Husker fanfaron. Regents Board Ratifies Dent College Expansion Expanding the role of the East Campus, the Nebraska Board of Regents approved plans for a 34.4 million facility to house the College of Dentistry. Designers planned for a threefold increase in space, allowing the number of first year students to grow from 35 to 56. Regents okayed the first phase of a pilot project for the development of television in the treatment of mental patients. The Board also named Dr. Merk Hobson to fill the positions of Vice Chancellor for Professional Education and Research and Dean of Graduate College. Officials dedicated the Haskell Building in Concord, Nebraska, as headquarters of the NU Northeast Station, a center for research and extension Work.
