BOARD OF REGENTS ALTHOUGH there is no direct personal contact between the Board of Regents and the student body, this board has direct supervision of all University affairs. It is the supreme governing body of the institution, and directs the policies of the University. Choice of faculty members, financial control, and general administration powers are vested in this group of six men. Members of the Board of Regents are selected by popular vote of citizens of the state. One member is selected from each of the six congressional districts, making six men who serve on the board for a term of six years. In this manner, every section of the state of Nebraska has a voice in the governing of the University by having one reprc sentative in the group which shapes the destiny of the University of Nebraska.
