I Western students spent time both outdoors and indoors. The outdoors were great even during January and February. While Easterners were bundled in parkas, we wore shorts and T-shirts. Western Is Varied Community Variety was a standard theme for the year. Members of the Western community exercised bodies and brains both inside and outside the classrooms. Through exciting intramurals, innovative programs, and stimulating classes, students, faculty, and staff challenged and pushed themselves. Western was not a quiet, passive campus! 8 Opening
