Homecoming Festivities After the decision was made for this year’s theme-Bulldog Maniahomecoming excitement began. Clubs and classes began preparing their floats; homecoming king and queen candidates were chosen to represent the various organizations on campus. D-day. October 29. came quickly. The day began with a parade at 10 a.m. Miss Blanche McManus. Associate Professor Emeritus, was the Marshall. An award of $100 went to the Soar Club float for first in the club division and to the Sophomore Class for first in the class division. At 1:30 the Bulldogs took on the Rocky Mountain Bears, beating them by a score of 35-14. During the halftime ceremonies. Amber Mapston and John Love were crowned Homecoming King and Queen. Runners-up were Debra Pearson and Rich Green. The day ended with the Homecoming dance at the Elks Club.
