We wish to dedicate this 1982 edition of the Chinook to Mr. Edward A. Cebull, who has been a favorite professor since he began teaching on our campus in 1958. From 1937 to 1939 Mr. Cebull attended WMC. After teaching at Deer Lodge, Boulder, and Havre, he served four years in the U.S. Army, rising to the rank of first lieutenant. For seven years he was an assistant professor of English at the University of Idaho. Then Mr. Cebull served as the West Coast public relations representative for the G. C. Merriam Company before joining the staff at Western. Now this enthusiastic professor is planning a trip by freighter to the Mediterranean with hopes of eventually going around the world. 9

Hall Dedication Celebration On Tuesday, September 15, students, faculty and friends gathered in front of the Women's Residence Hall to witness the dedication of the dorm to Miss Georgia Mathews. This honor was unanimously bestowed upon the Bannack native in recognition of her loyal service to the college from 1923 to 1965. During this time she held such positions as business manager and dean of women. In 1965, the University System Board of Regents conferred the highly honored status of dean of women emeritus upon Miss Mathews in recognition of her 42-year tenure at the college. A plaque now hangs in the women's dormitory as a tribute to this very special lady. 8
