TUCSON HOSPITALS MEDICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM ST. MARY,S HOSPITAL TUCSON MEDICAL CENTER PIMA COUNTY GENERAL HOSPITAL TUCSON, ARIZONA INTERNSHIP: Positions are available for twenty-four interns commencing July I, 1965, The program participates in the N.l.M.P. It is a combined internship between the private hos- pitals and the completely ward-bed County Hospital. Rotation includes two months on Pe- diatrics, two on Obstetrics, three on General Surgery, one on Emergency Room Service and four on Internal Medicine. The program is organized so that there is continuity ofiservice, Interns are on call every fourth night with the exception of Obstetrics where the call is alternate nights. Each intern performs at least sixty deliveries, and also performs numerous minor and occasional maior procedures. RESI DENCIES: Positions are available for eighteen residents in a fully approved three-year Medical Residency and for eighteen residents in a fully approved four-year Surgical Resi- dency, these being combined programs involving all three hospitals. There is an opproved two-year General Practice Residency with four positions available. This program involves St. Mary's and Pima County General Hospitals. STIPEND AND OTHER BENEFITS: In addition to the stipends listed below, all house staff are provided with uniforms, laundry, health insurance, and are covered for malpractice bythe participating hospitals.
