A NEW DEAL There should be no content with present achievement no matter how successful one may be. Success for a useful citizen cannot be measured by the wealth possessed, but by the accomplishment of good for humanity. Faithful service may beget adequate rewards or it may not, but nevertheless the joy in life is not found in idleness or selfishness, but in activity. Health and ability should inspire pleasure in labor and pleasure' found in labor will not permit men to relinquish their toil so long as opportunity and ability remain. Every day, then, presents a golden opportunity for a new deal. The great gate is ever open and never before in the history of civilization have there been such interesting, stupendous problems to solve and with them so many opportunities. Only the faint-hearted grumble and lay down. The honest and ambitious see each day as a new deal. ROY JAMES RINEHART, Dean. F-555-in -e f f M- ui! llll

1-:.-'..... '::! THE SUPERINTENDEIXIT OF THE INFIRMARY The position of superintendent of the infirmary necessitates a thorough knowledge of the various phases of dentistry. Dr. Edwards has proved his ability 'and trained himself well for this responsible position. We all re- gard him as our friend and his good advice is always welcome. Dr. Edwards is also Professor of Operative Dentistry and Oral Path- ology. THE REGISTRAR The registrar has the responsibility of arranging each student's curriculum. This important part of the administra- tion has been successfully filled by Dr. Moore for a number of years. He is, therefore, able to come in more per- sonal contact with each student by dealing with their scholastic records, intelligence ratings, and life histories than any of the other faculty members. In addition to his duties as registrar he is Professor of Histology and Bac- teriology. V ' .
