ROUTINES Poppy was complaining about all the stuff she had to do. Just look at my calendar. Go to Oxford Floral, buy happy for Susan; go to cleaners; tanning appointment at six o ' clock; work at library from one to three o ' clock; Racquetball at seven o ' clock; get hypnotized at Union at three thirty; we were all going to Pete ' s today and I have too much ' stuff ' to do. Routines. They say they give order and a bit of security to our lives. Some can be enjoyable, others a chore. Some you can not get away from, like registration. The Opscan system cuts down on a lot of time, we don ' t know how lucky we are to have it. Payment of fees, depends on the time of day you hit the Turner complex. For some people, those holds at the Bursar and library can be a run around. Something strange happened to me this past semester I paid my fees in twenty minutes. We learned to PRIORITIZE. There are seminars and books teaching you to get your act together and get organized, but learning about it is only a form of procrastination. We all have calendars. We try to do everything and still leave time to take off for Sardis. How many times have you sworn to yourself that this semester would be different. You would study a little bit every day (no more all-nighters), work out at the Turner complex every day, stop eating and drinking so much, and be in bed by a decent hour? Maybe once very four months? It is so easy to be bad and so hard to be good. ..- . r K t ' II

u . . . drive around, please. Students coming back to Ole Miss in the fall found that one of their most favorite eating establishments Rebel Deli, had closed over the summer. But there were plenty of other places to assuage the appetite. We had our choice of at least seven pizza places. McDonald ' s, had Mceverything, Sonic was good for tater tots and cherry limeaid, Dino ' s was good for gyros, and lasagna, the Gin, burgers, Forrester ' s for home-cooked lunch, the Warehouse and the gargantuan salad bar, Syd Harry ' s nouvelle cuisine, B-Quick and Chevron for fried chicken and potato logs, Frogurt for those trying to diet, Smitty ' s, Kroger Deli, Hoka, KFC, original or extra crispy. Mistilis ' for burgers smothered in cheese and onions and Sadie ' s, the newest establishment where you could even get rumaki. Ruth Jimmie ' s was more than worth the drive for a real home-cooked, lots of vegetables meal. And let ' s not forget the Big Boy ' s gift to Oxford the Shoney ' s breakfast bar where you could eat your weight in scrambled eggs, big biscuits and gravy, pancakes, grits, french toast, hash browns, bacon and sausage. The place to be on Sunday. If there was a group of people going out to eat and they couldn ' t decide where to go, when in doubt, go to Wendy ' s.
