SPILHAUS served os chairmen of the U.S. delegation to a special UNESCO meeting in Japan and v.-chairman to a world conference. ALFRED O. C. NIER, working with others, produced Uranium-235, the unstable isotope from which a usable form of Plutonium-239 was loter developed. JONAS J. CHRISTENSEN hoi written more than 100 pamphlets and articles in relation to his work on plant diseosei and the improvement of crops.
