Christensen, head of plant pathology, has worked as far abroad as Japan and South America on plant disease and the improvement of plants. ATHELSTAN f. SPILHAUS served os chairmen of the U.S. delegation to a special UNESCO meeting in Japan and v.-chairman to a world conference. ALFRED O. C. NIER, working with others, produced Uranium-235, the unstable isotope from which a usable form of Plutonium-239 was loter developed. JONAS J. CHRISTENSEN hoi written more than 100 pamphlets and articles in relation to his work on plant diseosei and the improvement of crops.
