Publications people high school, college, and professional—hold this man’s name in respect. s director of the National Scholastic Press association and American Collegiate press, he has made the University of Minnesota well-known to incalculable numbers. I-'or twenrv-five sears he has helped students, as professor, advisor and most important, as a friend. As editorial advisor ro student publications, lie has believed in and carried our the policy that student publications are the expression of the students, and should be responsibly administered by students w ith a minimum of outside interference. l;oi all these reasons and even more, he is to main a prime example of how fine a man can be. Many have wanted to sa this before us. but this ear he could not officialh object because he was on sabbatical leave from the University staff.
