Congress, the pulse hear of the University, managed, arranged for and operated most social and business functions of the University. I he new Freshman I landbook was published by the Congress in conjunction with Dean Williamson’s office. The booklet now has more information arranged in an informal way. Congress gave a boost to the Kootcr Club and organized the lirsr student cheering section at the University. Library lighting got the once over. Jerry Schulkin and his committee arranged for more lights. At the same time, with the cooperation of the library staff, it planned more effective ways of dispensing books from the library. Additional facilities for the commuters’ lunchroom, streetcar rates and football searing were problems investigated by the Congress, represented by Liken Seablom, during the year. Page 18
