The event was part of Queer Visibility Week, which promoted acceptance while opposing the anti- gay protest held in Ann Arbor by Reverend Fred Phelps. photo by Su- san Chalmers We sang ' The Victors and rallied behind our Wolverines both in their victories and in their defeats. We celebrated the Field Hockey team when they defeated Maryland, capturing the NCAA National Championship, being the first women ' s team at the University to win such a title. With hopeful expectations we welcomedTommyAmaker as the new head coach for the Men ' s Basketball team. Illuminated with the light of 10,000 candles, students fill the Diag on the evening of Sep- tember 11.
