CONTINUED FROM PAGE 7 ieipated Change was the construction of the Ryder Center, located along Ponce de Leon Blvd. The arena, with seats for 7,000, would be home to the men and women's basketball games and offices, and would host annual eommencements. Welcoming a new president, with- standing a national tragedy, and adding new campus structures were changes all unique to the year. Students were the rea- son for the changes. Efforts to improve academics, athletics, and campus life were all done with them in mind. The students were part of the University, and the University would always be a part of them.
