MAYNARD Assistant +0 fhe President Happenings In The Americas And Executive Details EOGRAPHICALLY SPEAKING, the University of Miami is in the midst of the Americas, and because of this there is a great interest in the affairs of Latin America. Sidney B. Maynard, professor of Span- ish, works to keep President Pearson informed on such matters, using his post of assistant to the president. An officer required by the Universiry's charter, Sec- 30 retary E. Morton Miller attests to the legality of sig- natures on UM official documents. Members of the University's business department are Mrs. Irene W. Morrow, who also works with the secretary, and Victor G. Trivett, who checks all the expenditures made by the University. Director of staff personnel is Paul A. Hartley.
