lot, I couldn’t believe all the people. And the girls !!!! (but none of them could hold a candle to you Lynne). “College is going to be awesome!” Or so I thought for the first few weeks until exams started. They sure weren’t like the tests they gave in high school. I remember saying to myself on a Calculus test, “I don’t remember ever seeing this on the homework”. I think I got a 40 on that first test. That’s when I decided that my study habits needed improve- ment. I soon found out the pro- fessors could ask the strangest questions on exams. I wonder if even they knew the answers themselves. I remember the Stompers, Face to Face, and a few other bands coming around that year Remember that day when the University was closed (which happened only ' twice in our 4 years). It was the day that lady “blew” into town and caused such a panic. That was a very special day for some of us. We got our favorite people around, got drunk, and contem- plated life. I’ll never forget her, Gloria gave us all a taste of Mother Nature’s power I remember the Greeks being around that year, especially during Homecoming week with events like the chariot races down University Avenue The Pats lost to the Bears that year in the Super Bowl 46-10 The Challenger exploded and devastated the entire nation....Spring Carnival was at the Kingston Fairground was deemed the ‘Dust Bowl’ and much more, but to make a long story longer, after a few months it all started again. Now we were Sophomores ( at least the lucky ones ). - continued page 11 $ Opening
