The tailgate partf. was held as planned and it just drdndt feel the same to be going to a hockey' game instead ot' a football game. Those who wen: cheered the tearn on but instead of the crashing of helmets, there was the crashing of bodies on the side boards. Instead of touchdowns there were goals-but not too mam: The final score was L'Lowell 5. L'X'i'is- consin 5. The red carpet was laid out and the horttecoming court wall-ted out onto the ice. The 1985 court included Steve Percy and Lisa Montagano as king and queenr and Ras Godbolt. Deidra Gacek. Andy Maclean, Parr. jones. Bob Coakley. Karen O'SuTllvan. Dancin' The Night Awa The semi-formal was held this year at the Windsor Mills restaurant in Dracut. Sometimes it was hard to recognize people who entered the banquet hall because at ULowell, not too many people dress in high fashion. There were not as many tickets sold as were expected, but those who went danced all night long. At one point during the night the dividers that separated the two banquet halls opened and the ULowell partiers danced with the people of the Anni- versary party that was being held next door. ULowell would not be showed up and danced to their hearts content. As the doors were shut and the party died down, the dance ended with the infamous Stairway to Heaven . Rumors had it that one group of people left the dance when it ended and found a lingering halloween party to go to.
