W Today the University of Lowell is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and community service. Located to the high-technology industrial belts of Routes 128 and 495, and in the midst of the country's first urban National Park, the University offers the perfect blend of history, culture, and today's technology. The academic climate at the Univer- sity is serious andcompetitive. Students who qualify to enter can obtain a superior education in any one of seventy under- graduate programs. The University's two campuses together occupy over 100 acres. Some thirty buildings comprise the dormitory, admin- istration, and instructural centers.
