My association with the class of 1963 has always been a most pleasurable one. I can say in all sincerity that I have enjoyed every moment of the past four years. Many changes have occurred at this college during these years, but these indicate progress. Progress has not only enveloped the physical structure of Lowell State College, but it has also remolded our lives, both yours and mine. From our green freshman days to our present state of academic confidence we have fought a continuously uphill battle. The summit of success is never an easy accomplishment, however, but once achieved is always a source of pride. May I say to all of you in respect to this success, Well done! Now that you are about to start a new career the uphill battle will start once again. You, the class of 1963, have proven your- selves before. I believe, therefore, that each of you will become the quality teacher of whom Lowell State College will be justly proud. Best of luck to all of you in the years that lie ahead. Signature

THE EDITORS DEDICATE THE 1963 KNOLL TO PRENTISS SHEPARD Always jovial and congenial, Mr. Shepherd abounds with warmth and friendliness for everyone. During the past four years as our class advisor, he has fused these pleasing qualities with an un- ceasing energy and willingness to work and advise whenever called upon. For his kindheartedness and constant helpfulness, we are proud to dedicate our yearbook to him, and to extend much thanks and good wishes for his success in the future. The Class of 1963
