While some of the class started the Knoll on its way, others began making arrangements for the highlight of our social calendar-Our Junior Prom. On the evening of December twenty-seventh we were to be seen in all our finery at the Hotel Somerset in Boston-the culmination of our planning. The parties before and after the prom and the hours of din- ing and dancing are all brought to mind by our souvenir mugs and bracelets and they still bring back the warm glow of the Christmas holidays of ' 53.

At this time a new College Choir was formed. This choral group presents a picture pretty both to eye and ear, and since its origination, has brought many honors to the College. COLLEGE CHOIR | W |i yi KNOLL STAFF 1955 A. Hassett, Editor; W. Malone, Faculty Advisor; ]. Roberts, Literary Advisor; D. liiscoe, Art Advisor. Another picture pretty to the eye was the glistening gold and blue of our newly acquired class ring— that token which to us symbolizes college with all the trimmings. With the year ' s activities now well on the way, our class began to think and plan ahead to the needs of the coming Senior year. The staff of the 1955 Knoll was elected, and the wheels ot publication were put into motion. 28

The second semester ushered in a new student teaching program at L. T. C. Since the classes of the college had in- creased greatly over the years, those of us who had been taking methods were again divided.
