Through the confusion of these first clays, we saw the promise of this class being one of the best,— a promise which has been fulfilled during the two years it has been a part of the L.T.C. family. Once more our class proved that it has what it takes , when we rescued a dance that was to have been cancelled. Who will ever forget the newspaper posters and the force- ful ticket-selling campaign? The Sudden Swing and Sway proved to be a momentous occasion— not only because we made money (always a reason for rejoicing!), but because, though sudden , it was highly enjoyed by all. There were not the only new friends who arrived at L. T. C. in September of ' 53, for it was this month that introduced us to our little sister class. The introduction was filled with skepticism on the part of the frosh , as beseiged by falling buttons and dunce caps, they bowed low to salute the mighty Juniors .

At this time a new College Choir was formed. This choral group presents a picture pretty both to eye and ear, and since its origination, has brought many honors to the College. COLLEGE CHOIR | W |i yi KNOLL STAFF 1955 A. Hassett, Editor; W. Malone, Faculty Advisor; ]. Roberts, Literary Advisor; D. liiscoe, Art Advisor. Another picture pretty to the eye was the glistening gold and blue of our newly acquired class ring— that token which to us symbolizes college with all the trimmings. With the year ' s activities now well on the way, our class began to think and plan ahead to the needs of the coming Senior year. The staff of the 1955 Knoll was elected, and the wheels ot publication were put into motion. 28
