There were not the only new friends who arrived at L. T. C. in September of ' 53, for it was this month that introduced us to our little sister class. The introduction was filled with skepticism on the part of the frosh , as beseiged by falling buttons and dunce caps, they bowed low to salute the mighty Juniors .

September of 1953 was an important month for our class, for with September came the great divide and we realized that our carefree days were over. One half of the class took the big step into the dark and mysterious methods courses; the other half continued in the field of general education. Through the confusion of these first clays, we saw the promise of this class being one of the best,— a promise which has been fulfilled during the two years it has been a part of the L.T.C. family. Once more our class proved that it has what it takes , when we rescued a dance that was to have been cancelled. Who will ever forget the newspaper posters and the force- ful ticket-selling campaign? The Sudden Swing and Sway proved to be a momentous occasion— not only because we made money (always a reason for rejoicing!), but because, though sudden , it was highly enjoyed by all.
