We were enjoying our added activities, and looking forward to our second semester of work, when our plans were shattered by the fire which caused us to evacuate our home at L. T. C. The courage and bravery shown by both students and faculty on that day of trial will long be remembered by all those who belong to our college. Aid soon come to the Students without College from our friends across the river, Lowell Technological Institute. With much excitement be began four months of an interesting and rewarding experience. After ad- justing to those long, long corridors, and the daily race from the Lounge to class each day, we gradually settled down. We even managed to keep up our spirits with La Masque , our sophomore dance, held in that dark, secluded place— Eames Lounge. With the hint of approaching summer once again in the air, we felt a desire for the wide, open spaces. Once wasn ' t enough for you, evidently, for you again took pity on your cooped-up little class and invited us to your summer home at Rockport. While the brave ones went swimming, the rest of us soaked up sun and witty conversation. After the weather got a little warmer, we held our farewell party to the Seniors at Beverly Webb ' s c amp. Between swimming, eating, practicing for our Class Day songs, and just talking, the day was full, and a ball was had by all.
