The German Club at UMB was es- tablished as an RSO four years ago. Since that time, the reputation of our club has become well known. Within this time, we have provided several outstanding services to the Universi- ty, the German Department, and the student body. The events of the Ger- man Club are well known, especially our Oktoberfest party, which was ori- ginally a celebration of a royal mar- riage over one hundred years ago, and our Fasching party, a German version of Mardi Gras. Our club provides a cheerful atmosphere for the meeting of new friends. It also provides an insight into the culture, civilization, and traditions of Germany and Cen- tral Europe in general. Perhaps our greatest contribution to the University is the personal touch that we add to our school. Our club welcomes all students and provides a home away from homef, Cn a com- muter campus such as ours, such an achievement is truly special. Q - .. Lui filing
