On nearly every page the pharmacist tells the story of an important hour in the life of some family of your town. What kind of person is this about whom so much of any com- munity ' s life revolves? He doesn ' t have an easy time of it— he had to study long and hard to become a pharmacist, and he has to work long and hard to remain one. Still, there are rewards— the chance to alleviate human suffering; the opportunity to have a part in saving human life; the gratitude of the thinking members of his community. 21
