Emerson Pro- fessor of Pharmacology at this school, 1930. Consultant Pharmacologist for U. S. Food and Drug Administration. Member of the American Pharmaceu- tical Association and U. S. P. and N. F. Revision Committees. Has done exten- sive work and published papers on digitalis, ergot and squill. Discoverer of water soluble alkaloid of ergot, er- gostetrine, for which discovery he was included in the 1935 roll of honor of Modern Medicine. Received Ebert Prize, 1951.
