F- The 1933 P. R. N. INTERMEDIATE CLASS HISTORY II, the Intermediate Class of University of Maryland Nursing School, brought to it fortyfthree girls in the year l93l, lor- saking many pleasures to enter our life's work. VVe felt quite strange and conspicuous when we lirst donned our blue and white stripes and assumed the task of learning the art of caring for the sick. Une of the projects into which we have entered is Occupaf tional Therapy. Besides being a pleasant way to spend our time, we learn a great deal which we can teach our patients when the opportunity arises. ,-Xs this is our First attempt at basketball. we have, as yet, made little progress. However, the girls have taken a great inf terest in this form of recreation and it has proved very popular and beneficial. :Xltliough we have traveled two-thirds of the road and passed over many stones along our patliway, ive still have more hills to Climb. Vlle hope our work of the coming year will show much im- provement over that ot the past as we have gained a broader view ot many situations and are more able to carry on our lifes work. VVe have found that many sacrifices must be made and that many hardships must be endured, but our motto still prevails. No victory without labor.
