Coach Paula D. Hodgdan. The Womenk Field Hockey team brought home a respectable season, if not a spectacular one for 1976. Actually it was like two different seasons. one bad 0-4-0 and the second pretty good 3-1-2 for an overall 3-5-2 mark. With all the top scorers coming back and a strong J.V. goalie moving up to the varsity squad the outlook for the 1977 season is a bright one. 82 r WOMANhs BASKETBALL FT. Row: Robin King, Cindyr Gray, Mary Ann Rogers, Judy Dow, Capt. Diane Carr. Kim Trickay. Back Row: Gayle Stoddard, Michelle Rollins. Sue Josephs. Tanya Lama, Ann Putney. Lisa Nollet. Only four members of the 197 5-7 6 team returned this year, that was a disappointment. Nothing seemed to go right and an encouraging program went down the drain. This year prospects look better and hopefully with a few breaks and a bounce at the right time the record will be on the plus side of 500. 83 WOMENS VOLLEYB ALL LJ' .. With everyone returning from a team which won 19 and lost 10 in regular season play and ended up in a tie for second in the state playoffs. The 1977 Huskies should be fighting for the championship for the next few years. I34 WOMAN,S SOFTBALL FT. Row: Diane Hopkins. Sue Charrier, Linda Curit. Betsey Way. Amanda Smith. Michelle Phallen. Back Row: Rabin King. Lousie Barnard, Cindy Gray. Collette Foster, Tanya Leino. Diane Carr. Lisa Nanette. Kim Crosby. Though injuries plagued the womants softball team. the hard fighting Huskies still had a respectable season. Leading the team with her cannon aim and hat was sophomore Tanya Leino. Defensively, Diane Hopkins, and Diane Carr Iriade many outstanding plays for the young huskies. Offensively, Betsy Way and Capt. Robin King continously c utch hits. Sophomore Susan Charrier and Freshman Linda Curit hurled one hitters against Plymouth State and since the team consisted of only freshman and sophomores Coach Pat Rayhould is looking for most of the members to return. Lets hope they can have a little more support from the University at their games in the future. 85 WOMANB LACROSSE .X .'r arrilih' 'a. ' JIJ FT. Row: Marion Drake, Maureen Usmboise.
