Students assisted with the orien- tation of incoming freshman on opening college days, sponsored the Christmas Ban- quet, and planned and sponsored speakers who included Mrs. Beckwith, speaker for one of our evening meetings, and Rev. Paul Malicote, apeaker at the Christmas Ban- quet. Plans for the remainder of the year include additions to the library record collec- tion and several books of a religious nature, and bringing to the campus the movie, A Man Called Peter . Fortier Faculty: Mr. Hilliard The NEWMAN CLUB is a club of Catholic culture and fellowship that fosters the spiritual, intellectual, and social interests of all its members at Washington State College. Membership is steadily growing, the activities of the club broadening in num- ber and scope. The NEWMAN CLUB annually sponsors many seasonal events and such religious activities as communion breakfasts and regularly scheduled meetings . lts members attend both the state and national conventions. The regular programs consist of speakers, films, and panel discussions.
