Curriculum develop- ment, class scheduling and student records occupy many long hours of con- centrated effort. SCIENCE -- In an age of technological advance the need for scientific knowledge is becoming an increasingly recognized phase of modern education. SOCIAL SCIENCE -- The complexity of man's social environment demands intensive research in the areas of human relationships for effective citizenship in a dynamic World. HUMANITIES -- Aesthetic experience in the humanities contributions to creative thought, a broader and more liberal college education. BUSINESS EDUCATION-- The expanded busi- ness education program facilitates additional student enrollment for preparation in the area of World economy and automation. EDUCATION -- Since the primary goal at Washington State is the preparation of teachers, a major emphasis is directed towards instruction in the use of modern methods and materials used in education.
