Classmates: All who have meditated on the art of governing mankindf said Aristotle, have been convinced that the fate of empires depends upon the education of youth. Today, more than in any other period of history, as we witness the struggle between our democratic way of life and the com- munistic way of life, we can understand the explicit meaning in his Words. This decisive instrument, education, has been placed in our hands. As future teachers, We must impart it to others. The quality of the education of the students under our jurisdiction will determine the destiny of our nation. May this impelling force re- main our principal objective and thus keep our quality of teaching as high as We now resolve that it will be.
