Asian Flu invaded UK twice in the l957-58 school year, resulting in more than three hundred and fifty students being admitted to the lnfirmary in a three month period with the flu. Many Others were infected, but the infirmary ran out of space and aillng students were sent home to convalesce. Finally in December the flu left, to return for only a short span the sec- ond semester.
