Since ncnr the beginning of this century, when the hDep-arth ment of Domestic Economf joined with the, College of Agri- culture in forming what has come to be the College of Agricul- ture and Home Economics at the University of Kentucky, this deparlrmnh now under the direction of Dean Frank I, W'elch and Associate Dean Levi J. Horlacher, has successfully em deavorcd to educate young men and women for careers as useful citizens and leaders in all phases of agriculture and home economics. The results of this endeavor are evident in many wa-developed rural areas in Kentucky that directly benefited from the efforts of the Agriculture and Home EC departments here at UK.
