Dedication Completion of the Katherine A. Ryan Center for mentally retarded children represents a highlight of progress at Incarnate Word Col- lege for 1961. The center stands as a tribute to a woman upholding noble goals of education and char- ity toward humanity. The accom- plishments of Mrs. Katherine A. Ryan illustrate her role as a woman of leadership. Her active interest in Catholic education was recognized in 1957 when she was presented the Aristotle-Aquinas Citation by the Catholic College Foundation, and in 1960 when she received an honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from Incarnate Word College. She is a member of the National Conference of Christians and Jews and of the Board of Di- rectors of Incarnate Word College, as well as of St. Mary's University and the University of Dallas. Mrs. Ryan is a Christian leader whose love of God has been mani- fmted through her love of man.
