i The Chicago Circle campus opened its doors to 10,000 students in September of 1965. Some of the special facilities on the Chicago campus include the Illini Union, Library, University Hall, and Lecture Center. Courses are taught in four colleges — Architecture and Art, Business Administration, Engineering, and Liberal Arts and Sciences — and in two divisions Education and Physical Education. By 1967 the new University will have expanded to provide degrees in all of the above colleges. Over sixty academic, professional, cultural, religious, and athletic organizations offer activities. 19
