Illini Union One of the best student Unions in the country, the Illini Union offers many and varied facilities to the students of the University. The recent addition to the Union provided two floors of guest rooms for use by visitors to the University, room for the of- fices of the larger student activities, and the spa- cious lounges that are greatly appreciated by stu- dents with gaps in their class schedules. Individuals interested in making inexpensive additions to their personal libraries appreciate the service offered to them by the paperback book center, also a part of the remodeling. ■7' THE QUEEN SETS THE dancing pace. Isn't it nice to have two o'clock nights? St. Pat's Ball HEATHER KINSEY, St. Pat's Queen, and her court reign over the St. Pat's Ball. The St. Pat's Ball is held every March close to St. Patrick's Day and sponsored by the Engineering Council. During the Ball, several of the juniors and seniors are knighted and given membership in the Knights of St. Patrick, the engineering honorary. The St. Pat's Ball Queen is crowned also at this time. She is chosen from candidates nominated by various branches of Professional Engineering Societies. This year Heather Kinsey reigned as queen of the St. Pat's Ball festivities. 28 m-. y y yy .

ADLAI STEVENSON served as guest speaker af Honors' Day. Honors' Day LAST MINUTE PREPARATIONS are important when you are in the spotlight. Honors' Day is held every year in the spring. It is a day of recognition for students receiving high scholastic averages. This spring the event was held in the Assembly Hall, with Adiai Stevenson as the guest speaker. University honors and class honors are announced at this time. Bronze Tablet and Phi Beta Kappa are among those represented.
