Greek Week It's Great to Be Greek was the theme of last spring's annual Greek Week. The Greek Week Picnic and llliolympics, held in the armory on Saturday afternoon, attracted a good crowd. The events of the llliolympics in- cluded a pie-eating contest and tug-of-war for fraternities and a relay race and obstacle race for sororities. The high point of the day was the tra- ditional chariot race and the parade. Each sorority and fraternity sponsored an Open House for the public. The Outstanding Greek Con- test and Greek Week Dance climaxed the week. College Bowl, an academic contest introduced by Greek Week Chairman Ray Ropp and Glenna Mid- dleton, proved to be one of the week's most popular events. THESE BOYS SEEM to be enjoying the tug-of-war. It's easy when you're win- ning. TIME FOR A HANDSHAKE? No, this team is determined to win the relay race. THIS CO-ED IS CAUGHT in one of the obstacles of the obstacle race. THIS CHARIOT RIDER wants to get a good grip in anticipation of a rugged ride. V ,, »•♦ T VlSiK y.

REGISTRATION OF HIGH SCHOOL guests and their parents marks the beginning of a memorable day Ag Student Guest Day. HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS ARE welcomed and are urged to attend exhibits, tours, discussions, and displays at Home Economics Hospitality Day. The College of Agriculture Presents . . . . . . Ag Student Guest Day for future College of Agriculture students at the University of Illinois. The day began Saturday morning with registration in the lobby of the Auditorium. The morning pro- gram featured an address by Dean Warren Wessels, a student presentation entitled, My First Year in the College of Agriculture, a skit depicting Uni- versity life, a singing quartet, and a campus style show which exemplified the typical dress of a col- lege student for classes, sports, dates and lounging. During the day, tours acquainted high school stu- dents, their parents, instructors, and advisors with the Agriculture and Home Economics buildings, courses, and curriculum opportunities. Visitors also were presented information about college admis- sions, costs, scholarships, loans, and housing. INTERESTING TOURS of the agriculture campus buildings and their facilities give visiting students an idea of what the Agriculture department has to offer.
