!■ 1- iM SPRING? THIS FUTURE aeronautical engineer has put his training to practical use. Spring is a time of awakening. When nature re- vives her spirit, students, too, emerge from their books eager to participate in activities, outings, and sports. The days gradually become longer and one day we find ourselves turning the clock ahead. Con- vertible tops go down — and then go up again as we get our last touches of snow and first signs of show- ers. Bicycles, less abundant in winter, again become dangerous menaces. Tennis courts once again are overcrowded; and local playgrounds entertain stu- dents reliving childhood experiences. Meanwhile, the size of classes decreases sharply, and many of those attending class physically are mentally preoccupied with fanciful dreamis of love and spring formals. Studies may take a secondary position in spring but they, too, revive as students awaken to the threat of finals. 17
