Every student enrolled in the University is as vitally engaged in the war eFIort as are the young Americans fighting, dying, and sacrificing on combat fields for the Victory of our Allied Nations. Each student's zealous effort resolves itself and points definitely in one direction. In the student's heart, as in the heart of this book, is one inflexible purpose-to sus- tain and preserve the American way of life. Hitler . . . lt's a far crv from the loving outstretched arms of Alma Xlater. She's a million miles axvav from the Fighting lllini who lies down at night to sleep and wake and wonder.
