Diversified lecturers and topics attract student audiences With a roster of guest speakers ranging from Swami Satchnidananda to a Ku Klux Klan politician, interested students were given ample opportunity to orient themselves with variant viewpoints in campus-sponsored lectures. Movie director Sydney Pollack brought his unreleased thriller. Three Days of the Condor to Agnes Arnold Hall in September for a campus screening. Cinematography students and movie buffs then witnessed AH's faulty projector sabotage the flick in mid-showing but Pollack agreed to an informal interview with students when the lights came back on. Municipal elections and the candidates' concern over the student vote prompted a week-long political forum in October featuring mayoral candidates Fred Hofheinz. Frank Briscoe. Dick Gottlieb. Betsy Farley and KKK candidate. Scott Nelson. As the high point of November's Woman's Week, feminist actress Viveca Lindfors performed her solo. I am a woman” show in Cullen Auditorium.
