This recognition of our scholastic standing places the University of Houston at an enviable peak in its role as an institution of higher learning. COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES The College of Arts and Sciences is one of the largest of the nine colleges at the University of Houston. It offers courses which prepare a student not only intellectually for his chosen pro- fession but also for life itself.
