STUDENT ASSEMBLY The Student Assembly is closing its second year, having made a splendid record in such a short period. Its purpose is to recognize and assimilate a true democratic attitude by making up a membership composed of two representatives from each tecognized organization on the campus. The duty of the Assembly is to promote school spirit, cooperation and to art as a cross section of school representation on matters pertaining to school life-A lrue sound board of student sentiment. STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council is cnmposecl of thirteen memhers, five from the Student Assuciation and eight as representatives of the four classes. The oHicers are Presidentt Vice-President amt Secretary of the Student Association who automatically serve as the same officers of the Council. TWO C011ncilmen-at-large are elected from the whole student hotly at tho sumo time as tho Association Omcers and serve as direct lepresenlatives of the whole student hmly. The Council acts in a dual capacity as the representative body of the students and tho aclministration in matters concerning both parties relating to stmlent prohlcms. It pertnnns as n jutticial body on student controversial situations, conducts olcctions, helps to set up the snrinl calendar, regulates the student handbook, supervises afternoon free dances and is the Dean's personal student advisory body. The Vice-President of the Council acts as the presiding: Ulriccr of the Student Assembly. NIL Harvey VV. Harris is the Faculty Advisor to the Council.
