MONTGOMHRY STUDENT GOVERNMENT L ' nrler the leadership of President Foster Montgomery, the Student Association, and Its fellow unit, the Student Council, made more progress toward a real student government in 5 ' )- 40 than had been made in ail years previous. Major reforms were the formation of the Student Assemhiy. which gi es all cluhs and recognized organizations a voice in governing the student body, and the institution of a streamlined electoral system for all student ele( tions. Also accomplished this year was the establishment of two honor societies, the Hoimnirx . (ti ity Society, and the Honorary Scholastic Society, to give public plaudits to worthy students in those two fields. Student Association oHicers for the year were President Foster Montgomery. ' ice President Weed Peterson, and Secretary Alice David. Student Council members were Montgomery. Peterson.
